2012 the year of the infographic

If you are a graphic designer, 2012 could be your year. In a field where new service income streams are difficult to find, the growth in content being delivered in the form of infographics is increasing. Effective infographics are out of the reach of many content producers so graphic designers will be sought out to put text content into pictures on an increasing basis. Graphic Designers should be adding Infographics to their websites and marketing material as a distinct service in their service mix.

Broken Hill joins the smart regions & develops Regional Digital Strategy - Strategy highlights broadband opportunity

Broken Hill has joined the small growing band of regional centres getting on the front foot and developing a Digital Strategy. Digital Strategies prepared by Local Government with the support of the local RDA provide a road map for an economy to leverage opportunities provided by broadband to assist economic, environmental, and social sustainability. It also provides a business case for NBNCo that demonstrates the kind of demand in an area to attract an early rollout of NBN access and the accompanying competitive advantage. Even without NBN coming to town, this strategy will seed broadband enabled innovation and economic growth.
